Over successive generations, the family developed an international reputation for producing wines that remain faithful to their regional origins while offering purity, consistency and approachable drinking.
Beaujolais lies immediately south of Burgundy's principal vineyards and is the spiritual home of Gamay, a grape prized for its vibrant fruit, freshness and naturally supple tannins. Antonin Rodet's 2023 Beaujolais is made from 100% Gamay Noir and focuses on the grape's wonderfully accessible character.
The result is an uncomplicated but beautifully balanced red: fresh, fruity and supple, with the emphasis on pure berry flavours rather than oak or extraction. It's exactly the sort of wine that demonstrates why good Beaujolais can be so enjoyable.
Antonin Rodet Beaujolais is a light- to medium-bodied, dry red that's all about juicy fruit, freshness and soft tannins. There's none of the heaviness you might associate with bigger reds – instead, expect bright berries, a smooth texture and an energetic, refreshing character.
It's also one of those reds that tastes particularly good slightly chilled, making it a great choice when you want something lighter than Malbec, Cabernet or Shiraz.
