Masi Bonacosta Valpolicella Classico 2024
A fresh and balanced Valpolicella Classico with bright red fruit, gentle spice, and smooth structure. Elegant, easy-drinking, and food-friendly.
From the heart of the Valpolicella Classico zone in Veneto, Italy. Made by the renowned Masi winery, this wine showcases the traditional grape trio of Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara, expressing the fresh, fruity character that Valpolicella is known for.
This is a dry, light to medium-bodied red with a clean, elegant profile. It’s fermented in stainless steel to preserve its bright fruit notes and youthful freshness, without the influence of oak.
Fresh aromas and flavours of ripe cherry, redcurrant, and raspberry dance across the palate, supported by gentle notes of dried herbs, soft spice, and a whisper of cedar. A touch of citrus lift and a subtle mineral thread add tension and precision, leading to a lively, persistent finish with clean fruit focus.
Ideal as an everyday red, it pairs beautifully with pasta, poultry, pizza, and antipasti. Best enjoyed young, slightly chilled if desired, to highlight its bright and easygoing style.
Masi Bonacosta Valpolicella Classico comes from the historic Valpolicella Classico zone in the Veneto, an iconic region with a rich tradition of producing expressive red wines. Valpolicella’s gentle rolling hills, calcareous and clay soils, and temperate climate give rise to wines with fresh fruit, vibrant acidity, and supple structure.
This wine is crafted from the classic indigenous blend of Corvina, Rondinella, and often Molinara. Corvina leads with bright cherry and plum flavours and firm acidity; Rondinella brings supple texture and spice; Molinara contributes lifted aromatics and light freshness. Unlike Amarone or Ripasso, Valpolicella Classico is made with traditional fermentation of freshly harvested grapes, resulting in a lighter, more vivacious style.
Produced by Masi Agricola, one of the most respected estates in the Veneto, Bonacosta reflects Masi’s long heritage of thoughtful winemaking and focus on terroir-driven expression. The estate blends traditional Valpolicella values with modern precision to craft wines that are both approachable and faithful to regional identity.
