Founded in 2016 by Joe McGirr, a veteran of the Scotch whisky industry, The Boatyard Distillery was the first legal distillery in Fermanagh in over 130 years. Set beside Lough Erne, its name pays homage to the site’s original purpose — a working boatyard — and its deep connection to the water and land of Northern Ireland.
