Château Heritage “Plaisir du Vin” comes from Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, the country’s historic heartland for quality wine production. The region’s high-altitude vineyards benefit from warm days, cool nights, and dry conditions, allowing grapes to ripen fully while retaining freshness and structure.
Château Heritage is a family estate rooted in the Touma family’s long winemaking history in Kab Elias, Bekaa Valley, with origins dating back to 1888. The estate is known for producing Lebanese wines that combine French grape varieties with the distinctive warmth and freshness of the Bekaa terroir.
The wine is made from a classic Lebanese red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, and Syrah. Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure and dark fruit depth, Cinsault brings softness and red-fruited lift, while Syrah adds spice, colour, and savoury warmth. One source lists the blend as 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cinsault, and 20% Syrah, while UK trade listings confirm the same three grape varieties for the 2022 vintage.
A dry, medium- to full-bodied red with generous fruit, smooth tannins, and a lightly savoury edge. It is richer and more sun-filled than a typical Bordeaux blend, but fresher and more structured than a simple warm-climate red.
