Curatolo Arini Marsala
Curatolo Arini Marsala is a historic Sicilian fortified wine aged oxidatively in oak casks and bottled at ~17–18% ABV.
Offering caramel, dried fig, walnut and warm spice, it is smooth, rich and beautifully balanced - worlds apart from basic cooking Marsala.
Produced by Curatolo Arini, Sicily’s oldest continuously family-run Marsala house since 1875, this is the authentic Marsala experience: delicious for sipping, ideal with desserts and cheese, and exceptional in classic Italian cuisine.
Curatolo Arini Marsala represents one of the oldest continuously family-run Marsala houses in Sicily. This fortified wine combines Sicilian heat, Mediterranean winds and oxidative cask ageing to create a rich, nutty and caramel-accented style.
Unlike generic cooking marsala, Curatolo Arini produces true Marsala for drinking — smooth, layered and elegant, with flavours of dried fruit, toffee, citrus peel and warm spice. Balanced sweetness (or dryness, depending on style) is supported by freshness and savoury complexity, making the wine suitable for sipping, desserts, and the kitchen alike.
Founded in 1875, Curatolo Arini is the oldest Marsala producer still run by its founding family. Their labels retain the striking Art Nouveau design created in the early 20th century, while production remains rooted in traditional Sicilian methods.
Grapes are sourced from Western Sicily’s coastal vineyards, where sun exposure and sea breezes naturally concentrate fruit. Aged in oak casks using Marsala’s unique solera-style fractional ageing, Curatolo Arini maintains a legacy of craftsmanship that has helped preserve Marsala as a fine fortified wine rather than just a cooking ingredient.
