Harveys Bristol Cream
Harveys Bristol Cream is the world’s original and most iconic cream sherry, blending Fino, Amontillado, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez aged in solera and bottled at 17.5% ABV. Rich with caramel, raisin, toasted nuts and citrus peel, it offers velvety sweetness balanced by elegant nutty depth.
Produced in Jerez by Harveys since 1882, it is delicious chilled, over ice with orange, or served with desserts and cheese. Smooth, luxurious and unmistakable — a benchmark cream sherry enjoyed worldwide.
🥃 Overview
Harveys Bristol Cream is the world’s best-known cream sherry — rich, smooth and beautifully balanced. Created by blending four styles of sherry (Fino, Amontillado, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez), it offers the perfect harmony of nutty dryness, raisined sweetness and velvety texture.
Unlike cheaper cream sherries, which can be simple and sugary, Bristol Cream shows genuine complexity: dried fruits, caramel, roasted nuts, orange peel and subtle spice, with a long, warming finish. It is versatile and crowd-pleasing, enjoyed chilled, over ice or in cocktails, and remains a timeless staple of Spanish fortified wine.
🥃 The Producer & Heritage
Harveys was founded in 1796 in Bristol, England, as a wine importer and quickly became one of the world’s largest sherry traders. By the 19th century, Harveys had shaped the style of commercial cream sherry and earned a Royal Warrant from the British Crown.
Bristol Cream was introduced in 1882, blending traditional Jerez wines aged through the solera system. Today it continues to be produced in Jerez from premium Palomino and Pedro Ximénez grapes, maintaining the balance of authenticity, sweetness and elegance that made it famous.
