Overview & Distillery

Elegant, eccentric, and unmistakably distinctive, Hendrick’s Gin is one of the most iconic modern gins in the world. Created in 1999 by master distiller Lesley Gracie, it redefined the gin category with its unique infusion of rose and cucumber, layered over a complex base of traditional botanicals.

Distilled in small batches using two distinct stills — the Bennett pot still for rich depth and the Carterhead still for delicate aromatics — Hendrick’s achieves remarkable balance and smoothness. Bottled at 41.4% ABV, it offers a bright, floral, and refreshingly unconventional gin experience.

Famed for its apothecary-style bottle and whimsical branding, Hendrick’s is the gin that bridged tradition and imagination — perfectly at home in both classic cocktails and creative serves.

Produced in Girvan, Scotland, Hendrick’s Gin is crafted at the Hendrick’s Gin Palace, an innovative distillery built within the grounds of the William Grant & Sons estate. The facility houses two antique copper stills — a 19th-century Bennett still and a mid-20th-century Carterhead still — which together create Hendrick’s signature dual-distilled character.

After distillation, the spirit is delicately infused with Bulgarian rose petals and cucumber essence, lending a uniquely floral and refreshing profile that has become globally recognisable.

Under the creative direction of Master Distiller Lesley Gracie, Hendrick’s continues to experiment and innovate, with new limited editions emerging from the Cabinet of Curiosities range — while the original expression remains a benchmark for modern craft gin.
