Esporão Bico Amarelo 2025
A bright, youthful Vinho Verde white from northern Portugal made by the historic producer Esporão that showcases the region’s indigenous varieties in a fresh, aromatic and food-friendly style. It delivers lively citrus and tropical aromatics with racy acidity and a long, refreshing finish suited to warm weather and varied pairings.
Crafted by Esporão, one of Portugal’s most respected and innovative estates including the historic Quinta do Ameal. The wine brings together three of the region’s signature varieties - Loureiro, Alvarinho and Avesso - grown under Atlantic-influenced conditions and vinified with care to emphasise aromatic intensity, purity and natural freshness (no added gas or sweetness).
Ideal as an aperitif or with light seafood and vegetarian fare, Bico Amarelo offers excellent value and a contemporary vision of northern Portugal’s wine heritage.
Sourced from the cool, Atlantic-influenced vineyards of the Vinho Verde DOC in Portugal’s Minho region, Esporão Bico Amarelo captures the hallmark freshness for which the area is renowned. The proximity to the ocean provides moderating breezes and ample rainfall, allowing the grapes to retain vibrant natural acidity and aromatic purity.
The wine is a traditional blend of Loureiro, Alvarinho, and Avesso - three indigenous varieties that together create balance and character. Loureiro contributes lifted floral and citrus aromatics, Alvarinho adds structure and intensity, while Avesso brings texture and harmony to the blend.
Produced by Esporão, one of Portugal’s most respected and quality-focused estates, this bottling reflects a modern interpretation of Vinho Verde: dry, clean, and expressive, with an emphasis on native grapes and minimal intervention.
