Rizzi Barbaresco 2017
A classic Nebbiolo from Rizzi, one of the established estates of Barbaresco in Piedmont. The estate's Barbaresco brings together fruit from its vineyards around Treiso, producing a traditional expression of the appellation with the structure, fragrance and ageing potential associated with Nebbiolo.
The 2017 is now developing into maturity while retaining the structure to continue evolving in bottle.

The Rizzi estate is based in Treiso, one of the principal communes of the Barbaresco appellation. Its vineyards occupy the hills surrounding the family estate, with Nebbiolo forming the foundation of production.
Rizzi is known for a traditional approach to Barbaresco, producing wines that emphasise the character of the grape and the distinctive terroirs of Treiso.
The 2017 Piedmont vintage was warm and relatively early, producing Barbaresco with ripe fruit and an approachable character. The best wines retained the acidity and tannic structure required to balance the vintage's natural richness.
