As the inaugural Cask Strength Edition, it captures the essence of Roe & Co’s blending philosophy - delivering intensity, smoothness, and authenticity in every sip.
A celebration of Dublin’s whiskey renaissance, Roe & Co Cask Strength 2019 stands as a collector’s classic and a benchmark in modern Irish whiskey - powerful, polished, and perfectly balanced.
The Roe & Co Cask Strength 2019 Edition marked the debut of the brand’s annual cask strength series — a bold exploration of flavour, structure, and blending artistry. Released shortly after the reopening of the Roe & Co Distillery in Dublin’s Liberties, this first edition offers whiskey lovers a glimpse inside the blender’s workshop, presented in its purest form.
Crafted with a high malt content and aged entirely in first-fill bourbon casks, it balances power and elegance — delivering smooth vanilla sweetness, toasted oak, and warm spice with natural depth and intensity. Bottled at 59.1% ABV and non-chill filtered, this inaugural release established the tone for Roe & Co’s experimental and collector-focused limited editions.
Roe & Co, reestablished in 2019 by Diageo, stands proudly in the heart of Dublin’s Liberties district — a vibrant area once known as the capital of Irish whiskey. The distillery occupies the beautifully restored former Guinness Power Station, symbolising the renewal of Dublin’s whiskey-making heritage.
The Cask Strength Series, launched with the 2019 edition, was conceived by Master Blender Caroline Martin as a way to showcase the character of Roe & Co’s core blend in its most authentic form — uncut, unfiltered, and bottled straight from the cask. It reflects the brand’s philosophy of transparency, craftsmanship, and flavour innovation.
